Peering in closely
And watching afar
It all seems the same
On day or beneath star

Friends she talks to
People walking by
Never aware
She's perturbed inside

Though happy through soul
It pains her sometimes
Seeing our people
Not letting wings fly

She spills all her words
Your wide open door
Only to see
No one can hear anymore

So she sadly watches
Her lovely humanity
Eat at each other
As she loses her sanity

The one of few that hear
She can't but feel alone
As she lets her soul glow
But others don't show

It's okay to hurt He says
But don't let it get too deep
You have others out there with you
Have your wings soon, do not weep

This angel snapped her wings
Fell down to an unfamiliar world
Excited and nervous indeed
Biting her lip and toes all curled

So confused she says
Why can't they see what I see?
God put me here for something
Why can't they let themselves be?

Finished her job?
For sure she has not
She waits on this world
Can they hear, or forgot?
